Leave of Absence

Hey, guys... First of all, I apologize for being gone this past two(?) weeks. I suddenly got very busy in general, I know, coulda warned you all, but I always figured I'd be back the next day.

Second and more importantly, my free ride is over. Tomorrow, April 13th, I get on a plane at around 1 pm and I ship out to Basic Training for the Air Force. Yep! It's my time. Training lasts 8 1/2 weeks, beginning on the 14th, and my date for graduation is, if all goes well, set for June 18th. Within a day or two of graduation I will be picking up a cheap laptop to get access to the internet again, I'll come back by the forums and get in touch again as often as I have time, say hi, and all that. I think I'm going to need to wait a month before I'll feel comfortable buying a desktop computer, though, and I won't be playing much games on my laptop. I'll just be starting my Tech Schooling at that time, I'd rather spend a couple weeks focusing solely on my schooling and such before I let myself get back into gaming and stuff. ^^;; Still, when I do get a desktop comp I'll try and be back at the server twice a week at least, but who knows? I may be able to swing by more often depending on my schedule.

So! That's the basics of it all. Dunno your guys' policies on inactive admins, but do with me what you will, haha. If I simply get my status back when I return, great. If I have to work from the bottom again that's ok too, I was more concerned with being a member and having fun than really wielding a sword of admin power and such Though it was nice being able to get people to fix their rates, and I even helped get a hacker banned once or twice. ^^ Anyway, i'll find out about that when I return, from this moment on I won't have any comp access.

Well guys, it was a real blast and I can't wait 'till I come back! Luckily the nice folks in Texas will keep me busy running laps, doing pushups, situps, and whatnot 'till I puke ;) Oh, then I even get to scrub that up with a toothbrush, wee!

*cough* Hey, I embarrassingly forgot my account password...>.>;; Oh, and I can't access my E-mail, hehe. ^^;; *And*, to top off this disappointing explitional onslaught, I'm not quite coming back to the game yet >.>;; See, my laptop is a HP mini notebook, and is just the worst for gaming... between the 10.5 inch screen, mouselessness, and general lack of graphics power to play anything more complex than solitaire, getting back into the game and doing any sort of ownage is just not an option. But, once I get out of Tech School(where I'm at right now), which is just less than a month long, I should be close to affording a full-powered desktop computer for my first duty station. Then, I'll have the capability of coming back to play! ((Not to mention once at home I can recover my e-mail password, which will in turn let me recover the pass to my main account for the boards here)) I'll be around the boards in the meantime, though!

Ah! Thanks guys. With a little admin help I was given my password back, so now I'm back on my original account. Yay, science! So anyway, I'm glad to be back! Didn't get my first pick, firefighter(so close, too!), but I got my second pick, which is Services. Basically I'mma be a cook, which is fine with me by all means. Tech School's nice and short, then I'll be home for a little while before heading off to my first duty station. Pretty nice deal really.
